Sandra Turkelson recieves The DAISY Award!
The DAISY Award was presented to an NKU nursing Faculty member from the DAISY Foundation!
This award is given to a nursing faculty member who demonstrates enthusiasm for teaching, learning, and nursing that inspires and motivates students.
Sandy was nominated by both fellow faculty members and students. One student said, "I was a scared, nervous, and intimidated 1st semester nursing student, but [after having Sandy as a professor] made me feel safe and at home. Her constant encouragement, incredible easygoing, and passionate attitude helped me succeed my 1st semester in all my classes. She truly cares about each individual student."
What this student said truly captured the essence of how everyone has said they felt about Sandy in the College of Health Professions. Sandy changes lives!
