Foundation (6 hours)
Most students begin their Honors journey with HNR 101: Introduction to Honors Learning and HNR 102: Interdisciplinary Research Process.
NOTE: Completion of both HNR 101 and HNR 102 fulfills the Written and Oral Communication requirements from the Foundation of Knowledge program.
Depending on individual situations and previous college work, some students begin in Honors by completing HNR 101 or 102 alone: HNR 100 + HNR 200, or HNR 200 alone.
Upper Level Seminars (9-10 hours)
Complete all three courses from ONE of the following General Education Cohort Tracks OR select the All Electives route.
All Electives:
Take any three Honors courses or other experiences we count as an elective (listed below).
Honors Capstone (2-6 hours)
Students complete a two semester Honors Capstone project during their last semesters. This is an independent study course where students work with a faculty mentor to complete a project of their choosing. The capstone course allows students to pursue their passion while demonstrating the knowledge and skills they have acquired throughout their Honors experience. In most cases, capstones within majors can be combined with the Honors Capstone.
