GXMO Training
The NKU Department of Allied Health is pleased to offer didactic and clinical training for those preparing to sit for the Ohio Department of Health General X-ray Machine Operator exam or for those who need to complete continuing education.
In order to sit for the GXMO exam, you must first complete the required didactic (classroom) educational program. NKU Radiologic Technology faculty typically schedule this didactic program in the fall, either September or October. Also required for GXMO licensing is completion of at least one clinical module. The chest/abdomen module is typically offered in the fall semester during October or November, and the extremities module is usually scheduled in the spring during March or April. All of these GXMO educational programs at NKU are accredited by the Ohio Department of Health. Both the clinical and didactic classes are taught by NKU radiologic technology faculty in the program’s classrooms and energized x-ray labs, allowing for hands-on demonstration and practice. If a medical office has enough interested individuals to fill a class, additional GXMO classes may be scheduled by request.
Please follow the GXMO Training link to see what classes are currently scheduled and to register for a class. For questions, please contact Trina Koscielicki at 859-572-5477 or koscielicki@nku.edu.
