NKNRC members Denise Gormley, Judi Frerick and Kim Dinsey-Read talk with Vicki Pritchard of "Community Report".

The NKNRC had the opportunity to appear on the local cable television news show called Community Report. In this video there are discussions about the work the NKNRC has spearheaded with the Lead Exposure Reduction Initiative in partnership with the Northern Kentucky Independent District Health Department (NKIDHD). Additionally, the essential role of our community partners is explored by highlighting the key assets of each. The show will air the week of May 11, 2009.

The NKNRC was awarded a grant to address lead poisoning in children in the Northern Kentucky Region. The main areas of focus include Campbell and Kenton Countries which rank third and fourth in the state for the number of children at high risk of lead exposure.
